We’ve all done this: wanted to connect to someone on LinkedIn from our phone and clicked on the blue Connect button on their profile only to see a cheerful “Invite Has Been Sent!” message. Then we realize (all too late, of course) that we just sent a dreaded generic invite without having a chance to customize it. Oops. So much for making a great first impression.
Here is how to preclude this from happening again. It’s simple! If you know where to look that is.
1. Go to the profile of the person you want to connect to.
2. Click on three dots icon located in the top right corner of the screen. A menu of options will open:
3. Select Personalize Invite option. Personalize Invite window will open:
5. Be embarrassed no more!
